It is a robocall but cleverly scripted to make it sound as if it is coming from a real person. The "robot" responds differently depending on what you say. It can take a while to realize that there isn't a live person at the other end. They have hijacked legitimate organizations that are trying to cure and treat breast cancer. Best thing to do is hang up, and if you want to give money to help fight breast cancer, by all means check things out carefully before donating.
Called at 8:10 AM. Asked for my wife by name. I told them to call back ion an hour. They said;' This is just a courtesy call, there is no message." Noticed a time delay iike it was processing what I said
Called my land line. When I saw the caller ID, I just unplugged the phone and then blocked the number. I got a previous call from the exact same caller ID, but the number of 253-220-9602. Another website says this is the "back brace" scam.
