Yes, you should call back immediately with your pertinent details, confirm your SSN#, Bank Accounts (For Garnishment),
and Date of Birth. That is the only way you may stave off the IRS from attacking you.
I received the same recorded message today from the same officer. I immediately knew it was a scam. The Irs ways sends you a letter first. This is scary after reading all the post. Do not ever call them back!
Just received a call on my cell phone. The voicemail cut off her name but said from the IRS and to return her phone call in regards to a serious matter. I am NOT calling back! I have filed and already received a return. IRS will NOT call you they will send a certified letter. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER BACK!
