Got a call from "Roger Price" at "United Processing" saying that my daughter in Texas needed to call this number regarding a legal filing. Checked online and found this is a scam. Ignore this call.
Kept calling and hanging up, so I called them. They were looking for the ex-wife of an acquaintance who doesn't know my home number. Claimed the acquaintance used my number on legal documents with his ex-wife (whom I've never met) and if I couldn't provide them with contact info, the acquaintance would face legal ramifications.
Caller asked for a Anthony
? I am not Anthony and told them so. She stated that they will add charges to tony and that it will. Be reported that I did not give him permission to use my number. I get these occasionally and they always ask for a different name. I received call earlier from a warranty extension, told them I was on the no call list. Some coincidence ?
I got this call too a few minutes ago. At first I thought it was a Bill collector unroll he mentioned the legal documents. I believe this a scam where they get you to say "YES" and then they use that recording to steal your identity. If you don't know who they are avoid saying 'yes' to anything. People need to understand that if papers are being served, in my experience, they WON'T call you first.
Called asking if I was available to receive papers, then asked for payment to delay receiving of papers until I was available. Hung up and called them back repeatedly. First, if they were a legit process server they would KNOW where I am and how to get a hold of me, further, I tried to give them my attorney's phone number and they said they couldn't accept it.
