I emailed a contact on care.com as a prospective nanny, i was sent a check for $2900, 600 of which was supposed to be my first weeks pay and the rest for a COD delivery of a hearing aid for her son with cerebral palsy. I was later contacted from this number and inquired about the check to find it was fraudulent. The check is drawn off Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, contact number 602-433-7000. She emailed me from [email protected]. I will be contacting police..

That same thing happened to me..

Was contacted through care.com by Gail Huffman, who of course is deaf and cannot speak on the phone. Then "her husband" Smith, which is a very popular first name here in America as you know, texted me from this number. Thankfully I googled "dog-walking scam" before drawing out any cash. I suspect my bank will realize the overpayment check is fraudulent soon. the email address used was <[email protected]>
