just called about 8PM, (did not look at the caller ID when I picked up the phone) and a person (a man) was on the other end and something to do with research and a lot of questions. Anyway if caller ID is Town State like in this case ( Moorestown Nj) it is always a Scam call.
These people seem to call all the time both Saturday and Sundays multiple times a day. It is new to me that Sundays is now "open season" to call any time they feel like it. Next step is to call late night.
CID says Moorestown. NJ. They have called me every day since Devember 9th. Three times today (so far) and twice yesterday. I haven't picked up because I know it's a scam, but pretty soon I'm going to pick up and blow my Dad's police whistle.
Blowing a whistle is a moot point, its a myth.. Charities, along with some Survey's and Political calls, are exempt from the DNC, however, they can still get into trouble for not placing you on a internal DNC when asked, you can also check your states laws in regards. Some states have different laws in regards to the calls, which can differ from the federal but as far as I know, Oregon is the only one that does not allow Charity calls.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
