Sounds phony to me. Why should I Press 1 or 2 to acknowledge this call? I am an answering machine! Later: Why would I want to acknowledge an auto accident 10's of miles from me? My local alert only sends a message once. It knows that I got it either live, or it's on my answering machine. ?????
It appears that our local Alert Message service relayed an alert message not addressed to it. No wonder it didn't make any sense. I blocked 860-920-3337 so it can't happen again.

You have to sign up for it, via mobile phone for example (but of course it can also be spoofed by scam caller) Alerts to fugitive armed suspect, weather emergency, other disasters. Sometimes there is no voice message, which leads to making it appear a nuisance call. Sometime followed up with actual text message describing alert and link to more information.
