I got a call today from this number, but I refused to answer--for one, because I was not familiar with the area code.
I've also noticed that quite a few of these type calls used numbers ending in 000. It's to the point that I always ignore calls from numbers ending in three zeroes, even if they are from my own area code. I don't know of any numbers I have legitimate contact with that end in 000.
I got a call from this number on my cellular phone. Since it was from my home area code, I answered. There was a beep, then an operator picked up and said "Hello?" I responded "Yes, hello..." and for several seconds I could hear the sound of other operators. No one responded after 4-5 seconds. I disconnected. I will lump the call under the "scam" numbers in my phone.
called 2 times. since same area code as I have I picked up. A recording telling me the FBI says.... something to do with break ins in my area. That would not really interest the FBI they have more important issues. I hung up they called right back.
