i was contacted by this number and i was told that i was chosen for a 10,000 dollar grant. she couldn't answer when i asked her my name, and hung up the phone.
Recieved a call practically every hour to two hours from this number for three days. Finally i read the posts on this site and decided to just answer it to tell them to stop calling me. the man (clearly of another nationality) stated that my name was randomly drawn to recieve money from the government. I stopped him mid speech to say I knew this was a scam and to stop calling me. He got very defensive about the word "scam" asking me how I knew if it was a scam or not. I then said I didn't want them to call me anymore, he responded with "this is the first time I have called you" I replied that I have been getting calls every hour for three days and they needed to stop calling me, that I had researched the number on-line and knew they were trying to scam me. He became very heated and started arguing with me. I calmly stated that I did not want to be bothered again and I hung up. How did they get my cell number and why isn't it being stopped????
I received a call at 6:09pm. Man could barely speak english. Stated I was receiving money in the amount of $8,000.00. Then said there is to much fraud within the U. S. Postal Service and I needed to give him my bank account information. I told him I would not do that and his answer was "well you just missed out on a great deal" and he hung up.
I spoke to a man with a thick indian accent who called my work number had the last 4 digits of my social security number claiming I was being sued by a cash advance company for non-payment of a payday loan. I have no outstanding paydayloans. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he claimed he was a supervisor. I told him that he was a "scam" he became very rude when I refused to speak with him he ended the call by saying F-you.
Friday, February 17, 2012 3:51 pm I got a call from some Indian person with a very thick accent. He said that because I don't have any bankruptcies and pay my bills on time, the goverment was going to give me a grant. He proceeded to explain that it's money that I don't have to pay back. He wanted to confirm my contact information. I proceeded to tell him that if he were going to ask for my banking information, or if this is going to cost me any money, don't waste your time. He got an attitude and said fine, if you don't want the money good bye.
this number just called me not too long ago i didnt answer but i did look up the number because it looked weird and thats when i seen what everybody was saying , plus my mom has been getting calls from scam people too saying she needs to send money for a loan she never got , she reported it to the police and they said its out of state but just block them , SCAM SCAM SCAM dont answer
