Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

The same thing is happing to me, so I just blocked the call from my cell phone.  It is some sort of scamm.  They called and asked me my is this is Mr. Smith and when i siad yes, I heard a guy in a heavy accent say to someone, he is stupid and then they hung up.

Never answer yes to someone who cold calls you, you have no idea what they may be able to do with a voice recording. Always respond with a question such as who's calling? Who wants to know?
