Same caller like everyone else , I just kept saying uh-huh to everything he got frustrated and hung up on me. I guess I wasn't excited to get a free grant. Our govt can't afford Anything so how are they giving $$ away?
Got the same call as everyone else. Someone who isn't a native English speaker said, "Hi, it's Randy Thompson with the US Government and Treasury Department" saying I was randomly selected for a $9k grant. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he just repeated his name and where he was calling from. I told him he sounded like a scam, and he seemed confused, so I told him this call sounded like it was fake. Then the line dropped. Definitely a scam.
This is a scam to get you to enter a code after dialing the number they give you. It sets up an account with your number and Google account. They tried this with me several times after I placed a Craigslist add.
