$9000 grant for which I hadn't applied for. In order to receive my "grant" money I was to buy an iTunes gift card with a value of $250 that would be refunded in my "grant" money payment. Yeah ... right!
Man with accent asked to speak with me, mispronounced my name. Then told me he was from the Federal Grants Office. I wasn't sure if this was legit since my son will be graduating HS and may be signing up to get more info on these things. Call dropped halfway and here I am with all of you.... So, I'm thinking "not legit."
Called said they were from United Student Loan Company. Said I owed back money. I have my loan almost paid off and told Oriental sounding lady that she's mistaken I've got a deal set up that I've had for 4 years and hung up. I called back and a recording said all circuits were busy.
