They called 2x and I did not pick up they left a voice mail saying "um...um.. This is jaelyn gonzalez and we need to talk to you... Um about..uh...Jesus Christ so call back" the girl seemed like a 12 who was prank calling me
I received a call from this number from a man with an Indian accent. He claimed to be from Virgin Promotions and said that I had won a drawing and would receive one of several prizes. He asked whether or not I was married and what my income was. I lied because it was very fishy. Then he transferred me to his "manager," who also had an Indian accent. He said "you are married, right?" When I replied "no," he said "then I'm sorry, you don't qualify" and he promptly hung up.
I got a call from this number this morning. He had an Indian accent and told me that my name had been drawn from a promotion that I had apparently signed up for last Christmas. I supposedly had spent more than $50 at a Sony store around that time and my name had been submitted. I don't remember doing this, but I played along.
The connection for his call was very terrible and I had to have him repeat a lot of the things he was saying. He notified me that I had won 1 of 4 things: 32 inch TV, 2500 in cash, 3 day trip to somewhere, or a Ford Edge. After coming down (with my wife) to 901 31st Street Washington DC 20007, I would be able to pick up a scratch off ticket and win one of the 4 items mentioned above. I was then transferred over to his "supervisor" also sounding Indian and having the same bad connection. I then discovered that I had to sit through a 90 minute presentation BEFORE I could collect my "voucher".
I initially was skeptical, then excited, but the more I talked to them, the more and more I realized that this was just a timeshare speech.
He's back at the ole, "you've won a ballot drawing from Sony because you shopped at this mall last Christmas" routine. I did not buy his offer for a 32" flatscreen TV, $2,500 cash prize, free cruise, and I hung up before I heard the last bogus prize.
