I answered the call and it was a recording that said they were from the IRS investigating fraud and an arrest warrant was being issued. It did not mention my name at all!
Of course they won't, the calls are directed for whoever answers or hears the message. These crooks likely have no idea who you even are. If you've got a minor answering, they'll threaten them as well.
Got a recorded call this morning saying that they were calling from the IRS stating that they were investigating fraud and they were going to issue an arrest warrant. They left a call back number for some person, but I couldn't understand the recording, it was too fast. The call back number was 1-202-241-8019, and even then it won't let you leave a message. Both callers had an oriental accent. The number 1-202-241-0000 is not a working number, but they called from it.
