Well... seems they are expanding their scam. First got an automated call from Georgia: 1-404-462-4401, same call as today. It's the usual... claiming to be IRS & the freeze thing... blah, blah, blah! Am becoming well acquainted with 'block' on my phone :o)!!!

Mispronounced words and incorrect grammar throughout this automated message. It makes no sense anyway. In tax delinquency matters, the IRS will use US Mail, registered or certified. They'd never phone. These knuckleheads are looking for information about you that they don't have yet – your address, DOB, social, bank info, etc. Most don't even know your name. Have a good laugh and hang up. Then block the caller.
Same here. They are pretty close to what I owe, too. But I was able to convince them to transfer me to a few different people. All the same accent, threatening me with litigation and 100,000 dollar law suits. I just hung up.
