Got the call from 939-561-3641 showed as Puerto Rico on caller ID. Female voice clearly american, no accent. The same message about lawsuit against me without mentioning my name or any other personal info. Very politely asked to call back 202-864-1235. I didn't call and will not.
I got a voice message today very much like the ones already posted. It was a recording "You are being sued by the IRS, we've been trying to reach you. Call us immediately at this department number 202-864-1213. I tried to call them back to tell them to kiss my a$$ but all I got was a fast busy signal.
Now (Nov. 12, 2014) they are calling from a number in the 714 area code, which is Orange County, California. A woman's voice; same message. Don't fall for it.
Same automated message, same phone. I knew it was a scam. If my mother in law were to get the same call, she would panic and probably give out personal info.
Yep, got one of the robotic voice (female) messages (this one from 344-834-6469 "NAME NOT FOUND") saying the same thing, "The Internal Revenue Service is filing suit on you. For more case information, call 202-470-0926. I repeat, call 202-470-0926 immediately." Message started breaking up during last couple of seconds.
That 'call to' number turns out to be somewhere in the Washington D.C. area, lol. Didn't bother to call them ...I'm good with IRS and figure they'd contact me a better way if something was really up.
