I got one call at 5:35 this morning, when I answered no one responded. The next call was at 10:48 am, a recording said the call was from IRS and I should call 202-241-1181 immediately as I was being sued by IRS. I attempted to call the number back but no answer.
Have received several of these calls with a man with a heavy accent telling me the story of being from the IRS.
To my surprise, got one early this morning but was a woman with the same IRS story.
I got a call from this number and they said they were from the IRS and I was being charged with fraud because I owed $1976. I knew That I didn't owe anything but listened. He gave me a case number and transferred me. Another man with an accent gave me a badge number and said the call was being recorded and would be played in court. I told him I had to take care of a baby and could I call him back? He said he would hold on. I checked the number and found that it was a scam number. I got back on and told him I would call my attorney and let her handle it. He told me that if it wasn't settled now I would have to pay $75,000 in court. When I asked "what court?" he hung up. BEWARE!
They called me this morning and said the same thing. I finally got a hold of the thick accent guy (after he hung up on my lik e12xs) and when I told him "why are you trying to scam people" he laughed and gave me his info stated that it was not a scam...Ray Adams Badge# FL84226 he stated that he works for the IRS fraud company....BS!
