I called this number after someone told me that they had gotten a similar message. I pretended to be an IRS agent with an Indian accent trying to collect money from them and the guy "Jack Williams" (the same name I used) immediately started cursing me out. I hope the FBI investigates this and arrests these guys because they are taking advantage of naive immigrants who are scared by the possible threats.
I have reported the information to the FBI and look forward to reading about the bust sometime in the near future.
I received the exact same call on May 3 as Son, I answered and it was an automated message: "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My officer Heather Grey from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 2022411366. I repeat it's 2022411366. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you. Goodbye and take care."
I got a message today "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 2022411366. I repeat it's 2022411366. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you". When I called them back they asked for my phone number, confirmed my name and then asked for the name and number of my attorney. When I told him I do not have one he started rambling about a law suite being filled against me. I couldn't understand half of what he said. When I asked him to repeat the info he said he's and me a court date and subpoena and hopefully I "can read since I can't hear" and hung up on me.
