This number belongs to someone claiming to be an IRS agent. If you receive a call from this number do not give them your information! It is a scam!

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Yesterday morning I received an alarming voicemail from this Washington D.C. phone number. It was someone posing as an IRS agent. He said to call him back immediately because there was a lawsuit filed against me. He also said Legal action would be taken against me if I did not call back.
When I spoke with him he said he was my case worker. He explained the lawsuit against me was for outstanding back taxes filed against me from my college I attended. He called it "The Federal Student Tax," and I failed to pay $2,786.00 to the Government. I of course had no idea what this was about, I was never notified, and I've had my taxes filed by a CPA every year I've worked. I said I needed to speak to a Lawyer and my CPA.
The "IRS Agent" said I was not allowed to speak to a third party about my case, and told me I had to decide (on the spot) whether I wanted to go to jail or pay what I owed.
I kept asking more questions and the IRS Agent told me the Police were on the way to get me. At that point I get a call on the other line from 911! That person said he was a Police Officer and explained he was coming to get me because I refused the alternative to pay.
Luckily, my older sister was home and over heard my conversation. She called my Dad, put him on speaker phone and he told me to hang up. I told the "police officer" he could come arrest me and hung up. I called the real 911 immediately and told them I thought I was in trouble... for all I knew, they were tracking my phone signal and the movie "Taken" was about to unfold.
Fortunately the Deputy Sheriff of my County called me and was able to calm me down. He explained this is a Nationwide SCAM and these people do their homework to put on a convincing act. They caught me off guard, knew I had never been in trouble with the law before, and took advantage of it. I don't want anyone else to go through that!!
