I got a call from this phony IRS number too. (202)-499-4840 on 6/1/2017. My Tax pro says the IRS never calls anyone! They only communicate through letters in the mail. SO DON'T BE SCARED IF THEY CALL YOU ITS A SCAM!! Just add the number to your ignore or block list on your phone.

I received a private call and I didn't answer but was left a message to return call to this number a Richard Marshall because they had filled a warrant for my arrest. So, I returned call and asked for the personthe guy said it was him and I said, i was returning call and he asked for my name and I said no, I want to know who you are looking for and he hung up. I called again and said you just hung up on me and he asked they hung up and he again hung up. Scam.
