Says they are from the IRS and If I dont give them my bank information immediately, I will be arrested within 30 minutes. I asked them to verify my address, or even my wife's first name. Obviosly, they couldn't. The minute I called them out on the scam, another guy gets on the phone and starts calling me a son of a [***] and an [***] for wasting his time. Then hung up.
Apparently this caller is creating a "cost trap" while impersonating the IRS.
We are alerting the IRS, FCC and consumer affairs. The voice threatens legal action if the call is not returned. When the number is called back a voice mail comes on for messages or goes dead.
