I received a call from this number by a man with an accent that I could barely understand. Asking me about my Microsoft software and viruses. Totally a scam I'm sure
This number called my cell phone. 202 545 6499 Unavailable. Played with this scammer. I was out in the yard working. Claims to be Sam from Microsoft and first question was which computer am I using, Desktop or Laptop? I said neither. Claims to be doing a survey on virus protection. I said I have my own virus software. He asks which one? I tell him that he doesn't need to know but that I have virus software. States that he needs the information? Again asks what type of computer am I using? Doesn't register with him that I am outside working in the yard. I said that I am not on a computer. I ask which company are you from? Microsoft. I state that I am not having a problem and why is he calling me? He's doing a survey and I need to have my computer protected. It is protected? Again, which computer are you using laptop or desktop? I said that I am not on a computer that I am working. He asks when do I get off from work so that he can call me back. I said there are lots of computer scams and what is his name and what is his number. Says it is Sam and from the number he called and that I can immediately call him back and he will answer. I play dumb and say I don't understand. I have protection and am happy with my virus protection. He gets a bit agitated with me and again asks which computer am I using? (silly question since a real person would ask what type of computer do I use, laptop or desktop not which am I using like he knows that I'm on a computer at the moment). I say there are lots of scams out there. He says that he can help me with my computer. I sarcastically say yeah right, I let you get command of my computer and then I have all these viruses and it goes wacky. He still persists. I say I'm hanging up now and I don't need his survey.

I got a call from this number today, but couldn't really understand the person's accent, even after I asked him to repeat himself. He said, I thought, that he was calling from "Tech Tridents." I hung up on him, which is so rude of me, but ...
Yes, I got a call from this number today as well and he was trying to speak with an American accent but I couldnt make out anything from it. All I heard was my computer was sending logs to them and that he needed to investigate. Then he popped a question - "Are you ready?" and I replied, "No, I am not" and I hung up! Nothing rude as this caller was a scammer anyway!
