Got a call from number. Caller ID says "WASHINGTON DC". Very Thick Indian accent. Said she was from IRS fraud division and if I don't call back the local authorities will be contacted and an arrest warrant will be issued in my name. FUNNY!!!! Kindda thinking about calling back just to screw with her....hmmmmmmm.....
Big scam. I got the same call. Been getting thm for weeks. Irs never calls. They only send correspondence via mail! Called back and they just put u on hold
They called from this number saying they were from the IRS Legal Dept.....i cut them off by asking their name....duh.....then I cut them off again and asked where they lived...duh....kept it up for about a minute - each time they began to speak I asked for more info...told them if they wanted info about me I would give it to them after they gave me all their personal info....they hung up. Within 15 minutes rec'd a computer generated call from 626-445-9137 saying it was our "official and final notice" that the IRS was starting legal action against us, and to resolve it we had to call 202-580-8423. We just ignored it. It reported it to the TIGA etc.
