I got a call from this number several times and they said I had won $495,000 from Publishers Clearing House after the first call, I called PCH and was informed the call was not from them. The person knows my name and last name and address, when he figured out I knew it was a scam. He said he knows my home address and that he was coming over to kill me.
Guy call saying his name is John Parsons and he is from publishers clearing house and I had won 495,000. I called publisher clearing house and thy have no clue who this Fraudster/Scammer is.
Got a call from this # saying it was the Consumer Protection Bureau. Caller's name Josh Bradly "without the e". I supposedly won $495,000.00 from Publishers Clearing House and that I was notified by certified mail (not) 8/23/11. He was calling to find out why I didn't respond to the notification and did I want the money to go to a charity. Told him I didn't enter any sweepstakes for PCH and he asked me did I think I was victim of identity theft. Even gave me a sweepstakes #LR994. Also said that all of the taxes had been deducted. That the total prize money was $600,000. Just another example of lazy, dishonest people trying to take advantage of honest, hard-working people!!
I received another call from this number today (11-14-11) that i won $450,000 but needed bonded and i need to send then $625.00 to get it . He claimed his name is Blake Myers and add. was 600 Penn. ave. N.w. Washington , DC 20580. Sounds convincing but i dont bewleive it and now that i looked this up i know its a ripoff . I offered to pick up the money then i wouldnt need bounded but he claimed it dosent work that way !
