Called the number back, asked for name and badge number and was given a 3 digit badge number...really?!?) I told him that I was reporting the phone number to the Inspector General for Tax Administration and my parting words were "Shame on you". Just got another call from them!!! I put the number on my auto reject list.
This number shows Egypt.A broken message was left with only the end on voicemail.I think URGENT was first word in recording???then the call back number repeated twice.I have received threatening TAX calls also.NEVER ANSWERED BUT THEY LEAVE MESSAGES
Number shows from Egypt +20-2-580-8680. Sounds like a scam... an automated female voice says "IRS is filing lawsuit against you..." for more information call 202-580-8680.
(202) 580-8680 DC, USA broken digital message left, saying "...case file, please call immediately on our department number (202) 580-8680. I called the number back and a lady with a heavy foreign accent answered saying she was from the IRS wanting me to verify personal information which I would not give. IRS already knows who I am; stinking scam artist!
