Got a call yesterday from this number along with the caller ID Washington DC. I didn't pick up on the call but my answering machine did. It recorded the following message;
This message is intended for you. This call is from the Internal Revenue Service. The very second you receive this message I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is officer Adam Webster and the direct line to my division is "202-609-9936. I repeat 202-609-9936." Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you. Good by and take care.
The voice sounded computerized probably so we wouldn't hear an accent from a person from whatever country they were calling from. It was an obvious scam. Wonder how many hops that phone number takes before it gets to a live(?) person with the accent.
I got a call and I answers the phone. It was a automated message. Call said it was from Adam somebody at the internal revenue service and I or my attorney representative better call back immediately or all he can do is wish me good luck.
This call comes after a message on my answering mAchine from week ago with something similar. So I took down the number and called it back. David Brown not Adam answers. No speak English couldn't B-) understand as anything B-) ok said and hung up on me. So I called back again. Some other stethoscope me prime suspect in tax crimes division. Knew my name phone number as nd address. When I pressed who he was and to get a supervisor he too hung up on me.IRS doesn't hang upon people. So I called back again and got Kevin Smith he said how can i help you. I said someone just hung on me so I need to find . Out what this is all about. Then he hung up too. Lol. So hanging up on people must be their protocallfor people they can scam cuz the IRS doesn't hang up on people.

Then he said if I didn't return his call or have my legally represented attorney call, all he could do is wish me luck as the situation unfolds on me. I contacted Chris Koster attorney generals office and the said its a SCAM, do not call, they are calling from outside the country.
