Is there anyway to report them? Because I was told the same thing about the free $9000.00 grant and that I would have to go to Walmart deposit $250 for the grant to be released and that the $250 would be included with the $9000 so the total would be $9250.00 then yesterday I think the guy called and tried to prank call me from this number 1 (637) 512-0000 which is clearly stupid because you didn't complete your scam you never got the $250 maybe that's why he tried to prank call me [***]… and both people were foreigners
$9000 "Government Grant" scam phone call - people with foreign accents say they are in the Government Grant office in washington DC. It is a scam because they hung up on me when I started asking questions. I called back and got the SAME PERSON who started shouting at me when I asked questions. I shouted back, "This is a scam!" and a few other choice words...grrrrrrrrr!!!!
The first few times I got a call from this number the caller claimed to be from ISIS as a representative of the Islamic Holy Warriors of the Jihad against the United States. The next few time they claimed to be from Microsoft telling me that my computer had a severe virus infection, the next time they called they said that they were from the FBI and that my IP address had been found to be pirating pornography. This time they claimed to be with the US government telling me that I have been awarded a $9000.00 grant. Come on people get a new scam. At least the first few calls were fun to play with!
