I have received numerous calls from this "blocked" number for the past week. I finally spoke with them today and He advised I had received a grant from the US Federal Government. He wanted my name, address, date of birth and bank account. I hung up on him and he had the audacity to call back and give me this call back number for his senior manager (which sounded nothing like that when he said it). I googled the number and thankfully saw this and told him he was busted that I knew it was a scam. I too am on a Do Not Call List.
I just now got a call two minutes ago. They said I have been chosen for a 7,000 dollar grant that I do not have to pay back. Asked if I wanted cash or into my account. I did apply for a student loan but just in case I gave an empty pre paid card number to. He had a heavy accent. I had a male.
Got a call from Tomas who told me the sa,e thing everyone stated. he said to call this number 202-640-5471 and give them a code he gave me.Told him he better not be scamming 2 sick people. yep scam and it originated out of Washington. d.c. someone can stop this.
I GOT A CALL TODAY SAYING THE SAME THING TODAY, BOY I WAS AS HAPPY AS CAN BE. I GOT HOME AN CALL THE NUMBER 12026405471. NO ONE ANSWERS THEN I LOOKED IT UP ON THE INTERNET. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE ASHAME OF THEMSELVES. DONT THEY NO WE NEED MONEY LIKE NOW.
Received a call saying my son had been awarded a 7500 grant that could be western union or deposited in to his account and gave me the website www.grants.gov.com
