Got a call from this number today at around 9 AM Mountain Time. Caller ID was "Out of area 1-202-644-9342". I wasn't around when the call came in; and it rolled to voice mail. Whoever was calling, they did not leave a message. I did a search on multiple websites for info about the number; but I didn't find any reports or complaints about it anywhere. I then used *67 to block my number; and then tried calling the number back. However, my call just rang and rang; and no one (not even voice mail) ever answered. For the moment, I'm not adding this number to my Call Block List. I'm going to see if anyone else reports problems or complaints about the number first -- or if they ever call me back and leave a message. For now, I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with this particular number.
I got a call from the same number at 8:14am Alaska time, they also did not leave a voicemail and I cannot find anyone that the phone number is connected too.
202-644-9342 called at 917AM today, Friday. Caller ID says Out of Area. I wasn't home to answer and they left no message. My call blocker has stopped several calls this week and I think this is a new number to get around our call blockers. This has to be a new telemarketer/scammer number because this is only the third post about it.
