I just called them back & they said they are Independent "something" Research. Their message says "we were trying to reach you to get your opinion about something. Good day."
Here's an opinion for you: Produce a product that people use and is of good quality and you won't need to do your stupid market research.
Company has called me numerous times yesterday and today (two times yesterday and four times today). Seems excessive and quite suspicious for a company supposedly doing voter surveys, don't you think...like what motivates someone to call the same number SIX TIMES in two days? I think these are phonies hiding behind the survey exemption of the Do Not Call law. I am aware of this happening from other things I've read. I cannot remember anything quite this noticeable before with a survey company.
Essentially boils down to the Romney campaign enlisting robo-callers:
"The people at Rolling Stone figured out the deceptive polling technique when they tested the functionality of the Romney campaign’s social networking feature, “MyMitt.” Volunteers that sign up at MyMitt are encouraged to use the “Call From Home” tool. It was discovered that the script provided to volunteers was the same script used by mysterious pollsters calling likely GOP voters."
The article mentions two area codes, 202 being one of them...all calls I got were from: 202-656-1162
Mitt, nice technique...saves money...but in the end loses votes. So maybe you should stop at six calls in two days, don't you think? Bit excessive there bud!!!
