Just got a similar call. The guy calling me could barley speak english, Caller id unknown, Gave me number 202-657-4861 to call back.
7500 in government grant. Said i had been pre-selected from previous year information. My address and phone number are new.
This is an obvious scam.
I just received a call from Mr. John Wesley I.D. # mn5091 telling me that I had been chosen to receive $7,500 from the U.S. government and all I had to do was go to western union and give them $289 for the transfer and I would be reimbursed for it... What a crock I am reporting these people to the bbb and FTC and also my local police department!!!! These people should be ashamed of themselves!!!!
