I got a call from this number and they said I was demographicly selected to received $10000 government grand for being a good citizen. I was very skeptical and thought this was a scam, so I asked the guy for their office address, and here it is: 200 Independence Ave., South Washington DC 20201. I googled the address, and it doesn't seem to exist.
So, please be aware, as they will insist that the money to be wire directly to your checking or saving account in only 13 minutes, so they then ask you for your account number. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER OR ANYTHING! They are up to something, I don't know for sure, but in this economy, these are the bad guys that take advantage of the situation and try to scam/steal your hard-earned money. Please spread the words and don't let your family or friends fall into their traps.
I got a call from them and I thought it was legit due to the fact that I called the government grant hot line and was informed that they do have independent grant writing companies that charge a fee for there services. Unfortunately I never received a grant. They told it would arrive by 5 o'clock the next day. But by 5 I was unable contact anyone. This is a SCAMMMM!!!
This number calls me all the time . Guys with thick accents . They already have your information (name and zip code) I gave them a card number that I cancelled then they started asking for all of my information i told them if u are really part of the Government then you wouldnt be asking . The guy then had a major attitude with me and transfered me to someone else, then that guy with an accent wouldnt stop interrupting me when he seen that I wouldnt buy it and gave it to him like it is he got mad too and tried to reassure me that it wasnt a scam ... It is... Ive read of people sending them money and giving SSI# but im not stupid... Im a business major nothing works like that . I then told him they have horrible customer service and find atleast find a better way to get peoples money and when he started yelling I hung up... Honestly what kind of government employee does that ?? #THINKtwice
