They called me from a unknown number and said to give them my bank account number and then call this number 202-657-6255 and ask for Ryan Smith and he would have 7,000 grant money sent to my account. He said but first I had to give him my bank account number and routing number. When I called the other number they said Ryan Smith had gone home and to call back later.
i just got a call from a guy named stevens tellin me a qualified 2 recived money from the goverment n he told me 2 call this number n talk 2 ryan smith so i can get my money. BS.
I just received a call from this number, the man said his name was Justin Burg and had an accent that was very difficult to understand. He said it was the US Grants office, and that we are awarded money because of good relationship with the government for the past 12 months.
I asked for his name and number, and he said 202-657-6255 and that he would call back. I told him it doesn't sound legitimate, and that I was busy, and I am on the Do Not Call registry.
The caller ID says "unavailable."
OMG!!! I got the exact call this afternoon!!! When I was speaking with "Ryan Smith", I told him that something did not seem right about this and I wanted to speak to his supervisor. He then told me, "I don't have time for your stupid [***] lady!" He told me to F&@# OFF and said that I have no idea what he will do to me and that he would end me. I am going to the police about it in the am. I live in Missouri.
