I got three calls from 202-666-8139 and 202-666-0097. Barely spoke english, claiming to be United States Govt! I asked questions what this is in regards to? and they hung up and you can't call them back. Traced back to Verizon in DC. Do not give any info to them. The US Govt reaches us through US MAIL!
Just received a call from 202 666 0097 and 202 666 9077. They said that I am approved for a us government grant and they need my checking account information. ..when I asked for a return# or to have some sort of documentation faxed to me the rep rep seemed to become somewhat frustrated. And replied with do I want the money our not... lol... then line disconnected. ..
I to received a call from this number. The person said that they were calling from the federal government in Washington DC and I was randomly selected to receive a grant of 8,000. I of course asked many questions of my own until handing the phone over to my mom who told them to f** off lol then she hung up the phone.
Total Scam! They want your debit/credit card number or banking information. The government NEVER calls you to give you anything NOT even when they owe you!
