It's a call saying u can get a Federal Grant and they ask for your cc# and the security code to recive a free grant not sure if its fake or not??? please let me know cuz if its not then [***] about to do it
it's a scam. they called i said hello 3x's no one said anything. so when i said don't f*cking bother calling me if they're not going to respond he(the guy on the other end) said don't be a f*cking [***]. when i asked who was calling he said none of my f*cking business. so i asked again politely after explaining this number constantly calls and i never get a response and he hung up. SCAM SCAM SCAM. a REAL customer svc rep would never speak to someone like that. i'm reporting this number to the better business beaureu.
I've been receiving calls from this number for about a week now. I finally was able to carry on a conversation. He identified himself as a "treasury agent" and that I had not paid my tax bill of $6,000. (I may owe that, not sure....and if I do, how did he know???)
I played along with him since I've been wanting to find out EXACTLY what he'd doing. He wants a credit card number or checking account number to allow this 'rent assitance' to be put into my account.
You can't return the phone call because it's jacked up somehow but the correct response for anyone wondering is this is a scam, verified by a U.S. Treasury agent for me today. I was transferred to the FBI and the agent said the same. Her suggestion was to just hang up and please do not give out any information.
By the way, the scammer knew my first and last name, my cell phone number, my city of residence but because he's an idiot, he got the state wrong.
Complete and total scam. When he called back, I told him I knew he was scamming me for money and then he hung up.
