I've received 2-3 calls a day for almost 2 weeks. Caller ID says "Concerned Women". When I answered the most recent call a woman asked for me by name. Purpose of the call was a "survey" for membership qualification, but she first asked me to pay membership fees. I asked to 1st take the survey for more info. The survey asked leading questions regarding my religion, and my stance on abortion, gay rights issues, preservation of marriage, education curricula, etc. The organization is "Concerned Women for America", and they are right-wing, hateful, political extremists soliciting money to further fund the spreading of hate and oppression. They are against feminism (so they oppose N.O.W.), against gay rights (especially opposed to gay marriage), against comprehensive sex education, and against drug and alcohol education, all while claiming to be Christians. My answers were not in line with what they stand for. The caller became annoyed, critical, and preachy. She sniped that I didn't qualify for membership, but I could "still do the right thing" by contributing money anyway. After declining I asked to be put on their Do-Not-Call list - hopefully I won't be put on their hit list as well. :)
