The caller said that I had won a grant from the Government and wanted to send me tax free money. Then asked for information. When I said that if they wanted to send me money that was ok with me but they should just send it to the address that they had on file, she hung up.
i just got a call from this number, I answered it because I have people that call me from unrecognizable numbers. when I answered it, it was a male who said "F" you 3 times! it was a males voice, he sounded Asian, but i'm not sure! whoever this is, needs to grow up and stop acting like a child!!!

I am a Florida Sentinel for Heritage Action for America. I was expecting a phone call from my Regional Coordinator. I saw that someone tried to call me from the Washington, DC area. I called the 202-738-4101 number expecting to talk to Karen.
A man with an Indian accent answered the phone, and said his name was Barry with the U.S. Government. Barry said that I had won a grant from the Government and wanted to send me tax free money. I politely said "No Thank You" and hung up the phone. I also entered the number into my Call Blocker.
I am also in the process of contacting our local Jacksonville TV stations to have them check on this phone scam so other people don't get ripped off.
Just got a call from this number and they said I won grant money from the government in the amount of $7k and I could receive it one of three ways. Cash in hand, direct deposit, or loaded onto a visa card that I already have. She followed by saying to call another number and ask for Eric Newman her boss because he was the only one who could release the funds. So I called him just for him to tell me everything she already told except when I said I wanted the cash in hand he said he would send it through western union but for the government to prove who I was that I had to give them a deposit of $210 that they would send right back with the $7k for a total of $7,210 and that I would have to get the money from western union within 30min max before it expired. My thing is one western union money should not expire I 30 min and doesn't the government track money grants with your ss#. I told them I didn't have the $210 and would call them back once I got it. They sound like their trying to scam small amounts from ppl and those small amounts add up in their pockets while our account information is just sitting out there for them to use again at their will.
