call came in from Nathan at this number. He says he is from the career institute. I told him previously when he called from a different number 1-201-257-4829 which on my caller id is listed as a call center. I again told him he was not interest to stop calling this number as it is on the do not call list.
Confirmed "Grant Finder Pro" -- they have a website. There are many complaints they will take your credit card # over the phone and if you are that stupid, they take your money for nothing. There is a class-action lawsuit undreway.
The other numbers I don't know yet, I have not been able to get anyone on the phone. (These are likey robo-calls; automated spam calling and you will only get a person if they are available to take it)
If they are asking for you by name, I suspect either a breach of contract with your phone service provider or a contract loophole you are not aware of. This seems to be a good place to begin investigations.
I'll keep working on this number and others. If I am asked for by name then T-Mobile is the first place I'll be going.
Looking into this at other websites, at minimum 202-747-7385 and 410-774-8401 are Career Institute (CI). They also have a website.
Get yourself on the National Do Not Call Registry first things first. This will give you a legal precedent to take your case to the FTC if the calls continue after 31 days. May as well file a complaint with the FTC beforehand anyway.
Someone suggested the FBI earlier as well. I could see this going somewhere if your telephone number AND name are used and you did not fill out a survey. This implies acquisition through either breach of contract or just plain old theft (data hacking, etc.)
