This number left a message (hard to understand)--was a woman's voice saying that this was the final warning. Something about a federal magistrate and court being involved. Have no idea what she was talking about. Likely a scam.
They have left several messages on my government work phone. So I called back, and told them to remove me from their scam list. But they keep calling. Filing a police report and a complaint with consumer affairs.
This number 202-770-3394 called and stated there is a $6,000.00 debt to the IRS and that I need to pay $1,000 now or the authorities would get involved. They said they were from the IRS and not to speak to anyone about this until the transaction has been completed. I obviously new it was a scam and told them I would go to the IRS office to discuss it. They said that they were from a different branch and I hung up.
i got a call from this number also from a man saying i was being investgated from 2008-2012 by the IRS and was going to be arrested.. man was totally rude and uncooperative.. wouldnt tell me what for....
I keep getting a call from this number as well. I simply will not respond. I am retired from the federal government and I currently work for another government agency.The FBI/IRS knows where I live and work, they are not going to leave a voicemail if there was a crime committed.They will come to wherever you are.
