I realized what you meant. As for your initial post, I have read comments connected to Canadian numbers where people received calls from the IRS. To make matters worse, I recently read a comment by an American that received a call from the CRA. I have a hunch that these telemaggoters sometimes forget which country they are calling.
There have even been posts where these operations are now asking for iTunes cards as a form of payment.
Left a voice mail (female) very professional but automated, did talk to a man, got his name, black gentleman, was nice, He ask my age, verified my phone #. I ask him where he was calling from and why, said I was being sued for fraud, tax years 2002-2007, oh really I said, funny I didn't work then, I had cancer, he said he was sorry, he never mentioned money. I said I have no idea, just mail me info H e ok'd. I said I had moved, did he have my address, but he had hung up. Wasn't too scarry.
