Mine too, but shortly after, they called again then it showed that number in the caller id. I blocked it but
had to delete a few numbers becuase my blocking list was full. I can only block 12 numbers.
As far as my information shows the number is issued in Washington DC and the other posts are pretty much correct. The most disturbing part of this is how the calls are selected and what information is being used. Your Social Security number is being used to access personal information to acquire a phone number connected to your Social Security Number. A list of SSN's are being generated in numerical sequence and the calls are being made by individuals assigned blocks of SSN's in numeric order. I can't go into all the details of how I know but a lot of your personal information is being used in conjunction with these calls. One way you can verify what I am saying is true, if you have received a call you need to know a person with the Social Security number just before or just after yours and check with them to see if they received a call from the same number just before or just after you. Generally a brother or sister that applied for a Social Security number at the same time that is of voting age would be the target of these calls and would have the one digit separation in the sequence. If you know someone with a SSN one digit from yours, check out what I am saying. I think you will find a direct coloration to what I indicate here
