Received a call from this number. Said I had a package to be delivered and they wanted to make sure someone was home to receive it. Could not hear nor understand caller. Called back and number was not in service.
A guy with a thick Indian accent claiming to be "with Dish Network" called and since random telemarketers pushing The Dish Network call me quite frequently I decided to start by asking him where he was. He lied and said he was in New York. I asked him if he was aware of the do not call registry. He pretended to have trouble hearing and asked me if I spoke Hindi. I then hung up. I get quite a few clowns from India calling me repeatedly to sell me a subscription to the Dish Network. This number might be some sort of VOIP gateway. The second to last one who called me left me alone when I said I was on the do not call registry but this one pretended to be all dumb and innocent. I wonder if these clowns are working off the same database where the last one to call leaves notes for the next one?
From another site I have learned that (203) 201-2000 shows up when the caller tries hacking the caller ID info so my guess is all these pests are sitting outside the US and using some sort of VOIP gateway or calling card to ring up numbers in the US they have their hands on.
Said I had filled a ballot in June and hence I had forgotten. I told him I do not fill ballots - guy became rude. Thats when I knew something was wrong and I hung up.
I got a call from this number by a VERY persistent Indian bugger. Trying to say that they're doing a follow up for a survey. They didn't stop after being directly told off.
Like a few people here, I got a call from a woman with a thick South Asian accent saying that I'd filled out a ballot at a grocery store or department store last July, and that I'd won a choice from 5 prizes -- an HD TV, $1000, or 3 trips. I was skeptical but I remembered that I had filled out one or two ballots in the last year, and the woman had my address. I told her that I would call her back, and she gave me a (647) number that I think is just a random person's cell phone, and they kept hanging up on me... then I *69'd to get this (203) number. Pretty sketchy...
