Called my work number and asked for a pledge. Told them not unless they send me documents so I can confirm that they are a legitimate foundation. They hung up very quickly.
Received two phone calls from this number. Caller ID say FAV and then phone #. for my state. I almost fell for this scam until reading post listing other phone# in other states on Who calls Me website Thank yu to them for the info. and info stating who and what these people represent . Which I take offense to very personally as I have several relatives who are military vets. I strongly suggest that people who receive these phone calls do not answer phone they will ask yu for a donation and then someone else will be put on the phone to take your credit card #. Oh and if yu don"t have a credit card they say they will send yu something in the mail so yu can send them a check or whatever . Person on phone was not very happy when I said I did not have a credit card Ha Ha Ha! Good thing I don't. I also told them I am disabled which means I am on a limited income these people do not care less they will stil try to get your money . So seniors ,disabled and they probably would scam vets as well . Please beware of these blood sucker scammers ! If they call me again I will not answer the phone and I will be calling my local police dept and also my states attorney general. The phone call in my area which is Pawcatuck ,CT was FAV 203-242-8337
I think I fell for this scam - they asked for either $30 or $50 dollar donation for the Vets. The saving grace I guess is that when they pushed me for a credit card payment I said no, that I wanted to send a check. They said they would send me the pledge card but nothing ever showed up.
Received multiple phone calls from them today. I did not pick up the phone as I didn't recognize the name and/or number. Figured it was some telemarketer scam. I am on the state of CT and federal no call lists.
