now they are calling from 337 220 9635 claiming to be Discover and they can lower rate on any card.
I hope the owner/operator of this website could update the site to have posts in chronological order and alllow consumers to add a recording.
Must be ANOTHER scammer - what do these people get out of doing this? Two other numbers I will report. This problem just started a few weeks ago. Is it related to the Target hacking; it seems to coincide?
telemarketer folks trying to raise money for a group called nambla but wanted a physical address and e-mail so they could send a newsletter... thanks anyway - gotta nuff spam already
Just got another call from 203-2447740 on my cell but ignored and came across the FB technique to identify. Thanks. I've also gotten too many "Card Services, reduce your interest rate" calls to count, including three in the last two days. There was a "Public Notice" posting that suggested retaliation and I can endorse it. I've been through all the "nice" modes of trying to end the calls, pressing the number they say to get you off their list to actually talking to the rep and and saying I want off their list. The time the rep actually said to me "Well, that isn't going to happen" pushed me into more severe methods. I did try to talk to one of them long enough to find out who the company was but they were too cagey to give that up. So I've resorted to the curse method such as getting the rep on the line and wasting a minute or two and then expressing my desire that they drive into a bridge abutment on their way home or worse. It's cruel and unpleasant but I've tried "nice". I know I don't mean that should happen but they don't and my sense is that if I can make that scam job as unpleasant as possible then they'll get a taste of what they're doing to people.
