The caller said he was a Windows Engineer, he can give me all the information about my Address, telehone No, Windows account, and that Windows have been monitoring my internet use, and they are concerned because I am about to be attacked and suffer a catastrophy on my computer, he wanted me to open my computer and follow his instructions.
Can anyone confirm a similar call, what is the intention of the caller, I requested his telephone No. he gave 2032866013.
I live in france and i received this afternoon 21st november 2014, 1PM, the same call. The guy (indian accent I guess, fluent but not BBC accent) said I have been attacked by undectable "germs" in the computer through the OS. He can not tell me which OS i've got. He just said it's a windows OS. Said also I can't detect it, and it will cause damage to the computer untill it's unusable.
He wanted me to go to the computer to show and prove me it's true.
After I said I don't believe it, the guy told "wait, you can talk to my chief". Same story but with the chief.
I asked his name he said his name is Sam WILLSON, and that I can find this 44-2032866013 phone number in a MS website.
Happily I didn't believe his talks, but he took me to the phone for 15 minutes. Behind all this guys I heard like an office where workers talking to customers by phone.
After having looking at forums I guess it's a fishing attempt by phone. Suckers.
