I get this call every day. ID reads Derby, CT. No message. Then it stops for awhile. After a few weeks, they start calling again. I would block this number if I had the service.
Just received another call from that number so I called Eversource since the recorded message asks if you want to receive a discount on your Eversource bill. It gives the impression that the call is from Eversource but it is not. It's from a third party electricity supplier that wants you to switch over to that supplier. Doubt there is much savings.
These people, whoever they are, have been using a variety of spoofed caller-ID numbers, like 308-4172, 308-4672, and now this one, 308-4696. Changing the fake numbers doesn't change their malign intent, or, for that matter (since they are trying to sell something, apparently electricity), their violation of the federal do-not-call list. They are breaking federal law. Of course, they care neither for the law nor for any call recipient's well-being.
