Do NOT donate to the Fraternal Order of Police via the telephone! The National FOP does not conduct telephone solicitations! Do not send money to the organization that solicits on the phone. These are telemarketers who solicit and get a huge percentage of the donation.
"Hey, don't you want to take care of the boys in blue now, so they can take care when you need it? Hey, we'll give a sticker put on your bumper then the boys will know that you care?!" Our officers have no connection with the guy the phone and really don't care about any sticker on your bumper.
Just hang up. Don't listen to their spiel their are just telephone solicitors and their next call will be trying to sell you siding!
If it is the Fraternal Order of Police we have donated to them in the past but not stemming from an unidenitifed phone call where they didn't leave a message. Grrrr
