this number called my son 4 times in less than an hour and he only answered because he is looking for a job and they were calling from local numbers (spoofing) and then would not let him off the phone.... so when I answered and demanded information and then told them that I was going to contact my attorney if they called again and I was going to report them regardless under the TCPA act 47 USC 227 and take them to small court and I can sue them up to $1500 (if they are on a nuisance list you can sue for triple - $1500 instead of just $500) but either way I was reporting them. and she couldn't get off the phone fast enough!!!
know the law and start taking these [***] to court and maybe they will stop!!!
They go by Degree Adviser or E-Degree. They have been called me many times over the month. They stick to a strict script, and it's very hard to get them to break it. The first few times I said no, and they hung up on me right there. The next couple of time I tried to asked them to remove me from their call list, and they hung up on me before I got my last word in.
This last time I gave them a bunch of bogus information, and acted like I was really interested. I told them I was in a bad room, and I would probably drop the call. I asked for a contact number, and this is the number they gave me. The passed me on to the next person who gave me the this number again, but another name. After I told them thank you for their contact information I told them to remove me from all of their contact lists, and the lady didn't hang up on me. She said "Thank you, and we will. Have a good day." Laughing the entire time though, so I expect another call.

I was contacted by a caller with the caller id displaying the # (734) 236-6977 and began speaking to a man who introduced himself as James from edegreeadvisor. James wanted to know if I was interested in furthering my education and began to ask questions about what I would study if given the chance to go back to school for free. But first he had to ask me some questions to see if I qualified for the program being offered. Questions like, "What year did I graduate high school or complete my GED?", "What is my highest educational degree completed?", and "What is the last four of my social security #?" He acted like he was inputting this information into a database and running a check to see if I qualified. I played along up until I was given a call back # (203) 424-0335 and then handed off to another person with the title of "advisor" that called herself Nikka (pronounced "Neeka"). Nikka began to verify her information which she repeated back to me incorrectly and I called her out on it and told her I was uncomfortable with the level of sensitive information they requested and wanted to know the name and location of the organization they were representing. She offered the EdegreeAdvisor name and I finished the call by saying No Thanks!
