it said it was reward redemption something.. it sounds like SPAM

they said that they were a government program for grants and you have to pay $300 at moneygram at walmart. they also gave me the address to a washington dc location but they are in conneticut

It's a scam. They'll take the money from your untraceable Moneygram and you'll never hear from them again.

Common grant or loan scam.  Originates in India and Pakistan.  They request an    upfront fee, wired by untraceable  means.  Once they have that,  they disappear.  Ignore and block the calls.
