They had the name of our owner/manager. And said they were starting to do business in our area. "recommended" by another business owner who said we might be interested, had similar business. Also said they were setting up a meeting (locally) tomorrow. I shoulkd have asked where and who would be there. He said they were in some form of engineering(?) Think he also used the expression SMS
Marketer was fairly polite, and I suggested if he was legit, he should call back with the name of the "referring" business owner. I told him our main business (name) SOUNDED like something simialr to the "ABS" description he gave.
just called THEM back and actually got a live person at that number. they say they are a business consulting group-finances etc based in Chicago. Local office and phone no. in CT.
if they are legit, they should approach potential clients differently.

203-446-4445 ABS is noted on caller id...they call daily to speak to the owner. I screen all calls for the owner. They never leave a message and get nasty when I try to get information or a message from them. Please make them go away!!!
They call the place where I work a lot. They say they want to speak to the President and ask for him by name, when I ask what's the company they are with or what this is regarding, they slam the phone down disconnecting us. How rude. I think I will call them back right now. ......OK, I called a guy answered saying Client Services said they were a marketing Co. so I asked them to remove our company from their list. Yes, they are scammers so beware.
