its a scam they call them selves ARP collections. they find charged off credit cards and try and get you to pay them when its already charged off. do not pay your old debts to these people.
Just got called from this number on my cell. Called and said it was NCFinancial looking for my husband. I said he's not here how did u get my cell#?? Got snotty and said is he there. I said I'm the wife what do u want? Hung up in ear. Loud noisy office background on phone. Only debt collection pulls this.
number called today on my cell, whitepages.com says it's a VOiP number from Ansonia CT. Claims to be a debt collector who "recently acquired a debt from (XYZ company) concerning your (name of credit card)" knew the last 4 of my social, and claimed to have sent numerous communications to my current address (mispronouncing the city)...unfortunately he does not realize that i am fully aware the debt is beyond statute of limitations for collection and fell off my credit report over a year ago...
